Intelligent control in robotic additive manufacturing.

Abstract

This talk will discuss the RPI robotics WAAM project and various aspects needed to make the final product accurate, including configuration-dependent robot calibration, end-point sensing, and motion + temperature control by using both robot motion and wire feed rate, and finally some subtleties in robot kinematics (cupidal robots, 7-dof robots).
